Blue Dart Express Limited has unveiled a leadership reshuffle in its legal and compliance function, naming Rabindra Purohit as Vice President, Legal, Compliance & Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, effective October 10, 2026. To ensure a smooth transition, Tushar Gunderia, who has led the function for nearly three decades, will cease to hold the office of Head (Legal & Compliance) and Company Secretary at the close of business on October 9, 2026, and will continue with the company as Corporate Affairs and Legal Counsel through December 31, 2026.
Rabindra Purohit steps into a key executive role with a governance track record spanning about 25 years. A qualified Company Secretary and ICSI Fellow, his career spans leadership positions across Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd, NIVEA India (Beiersdorf), Vodafone India, and Bharti Del Monte Foods. He is noted for strengthening governance frameworks, risk management, data privacy, and the adoption of technology-enabled legal solutions that support agile decision-making.
In addition, Mr. Purohit will serve as one of the Key Managerial Personnel authorized to determine the materiality of events and information and to make disclosures to stock exchanges under Listing Regulations, effective from October 10, 2026, replacing Mr. Gunderia in that capacity. The other Key Managerial Personnel responsible for disclosures remains unchanged.
The board acknowledged the long tenure and contributions of Mr. Tushar Gunderia, who has served Blue Dart for about 28 years, and conveyed best wishes as he steps into a transitional role within Corporate Affairs and Legal Counsel till year-end. The move underscores Blue Dart’s focus on strengthening governance, compliance, and regulatory stewardship as the company navigates growth and a dynamic regulatory landscape.
