Somnath Arora named Plant Head at Jindal Supreme (India) Limited

In a move poised to sharpen its manufacturing edge, Jindal Supreme (India) Limited has named Somnath Arora as Plant Head at its Hisar facility, with effect from October 8, 2026. The appointment was approved by the board on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and Arora will join the company as part of its senior management cadre.

Arora is a B.Tech graduate with more than 30 years of extensive experience in the iron and steel industry. In stepping into the Plant Head role, he will oversee the company’s core manufacturing operations at the Hisar plant, which produces a range of steel products including MS tubes, hollow sections, metal beams, and crash barriers.

The move signals a strategic emphasis on strong on-the-ground leadership in the plant, a critical nexus for production efficiency, product quality, and timely delivery in a sector where manufacturing performance translates directly into competitive advantage for both domestic and export markets.

Jindal Supreme’s leadership slate now includes Arora among its senior manufacturing professionals charged with steering the company’s facilities through a period of growth and modernization. The company has not disclosed any prior employer for Arora in its filings, leaving room for future context on the experiences he brings to the Hisar operation.
