Jindal Worldwide Adds Two Independent Directors to Board

Jindal Worldwide Limited has taken a governance-focused step by adding two independent directors to its board. In a board meeting held on September 30, 2026, the company approved the appointment of Omprakash Ugamraj Bhandari as an Additional Non-Executive Independent Director for the first term of two consecutive years, subject to approval by the company’s members. Concurrently, Bhavi Shreyans Shah was appointed as an Additional Non-Executive Independent Director for a two-year term, likewise contingent on shareholder approval.

Both appointees bring substantial experience to the board. Omprakash Ugamraj Bhandari, aged 73, has more than 32 years of expertise spanning auditing, taxation, merchant banking and broader financial matters, with a background as a practicing Chartered Accountant across prominent groups in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Bhavi Shreyans Shah, aged 43, is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and Insolvency Professional, with in-depth knowledge in auditing, accounting, taxation, finance and insolvency law.

The company noted that both individuals satisfy the independence criteria and are not debarred from holding directorships. The additions underscore Jindal Worldwide’s emphasis on governance and oversight, particularly in the financial arena, as the board seeks to strengthen its strategic oversight and fiduciary duties.
