RateGain Travel Technologies names Chetan Garg as CFO as Ankit Aggarwal steps down from interim role

RateGain Travel Technologies Limited is undergoing a leadership transition as the board approved the appointment of Chetan Prakash Garg as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel, effective September 29, 2026. The development comes as Ankit Aggarwal steps down from the interim CFO role at the close of business on September 28, 2026, though he will continue to serve the company as Deputy Chief Financial Officer.

Chetan Prakash Garg brings roughly two decades of global financial leadership, with deep expertise spanning capital markets, cost management, risk governance, and global operations. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Optum India (part of UnitedHealth Group), where he steered financial governance, risk management, and cost controls for healthcare operations, and played a pivotal role in capital allocation and integrating acquired entities in India. Earlier in his career, Garg worked as a management consultant with PwC and Deloitte India, serving clients across public sector, manufacturing, and consumer products. He holds an MBA in Finance from Cornell University and a B. Tech degree from IIT Madras.

The leadership change reflects RateGain’s ongoing momentum as it scales its technology-driven travel platform. Aggarwal’s move to Deputy Chief Financial Officer ensures continuity within the finance leadership team while Garg steps into the CFO role. The board’s appointment follows recommendations from RateGain’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Audit Committee, underscoring a strategic focus on robust financial governance and disciplined capital allocation as the company pursues its growth agenda.
