CSB Bank Limited has named Anish Thurthi as an Additional Director (Non-Executive Non-Independent), a move the board approved at its September 25, 2026 meeting. The appointment, in the category of Non-Executive Non-Independent, comes on the recommendation of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee and is nominated by promoter FIH Mauritius Investments Ltd. Thurthi’s term is to run with retirement by rotation, and the bank will seek member approval for the appointment within the statutory window.
Thurthi brings more than two decades of financial leadership to the table. A chartered accountant by training, he currently serves as a Director at Fairbridge Capital Private Limited, an investment advisory firm that manages capital for Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited and its affiliates. His prior career includes a long stint as a partner in KPMG India’s Deal Advisory practice, where he advised hundreds of M&A and private equity transactions and supported due diligence, structuring, and integration across diverse sectors. His governance and investment background are further reflected in his current board roles with several listed and private entities.
In addition to joining the CSB Bank board, Thurthi is slated to become a member of key committees, including the Nomination & Remuneration Committee and the Corporate Social Responsibility & ESG Committee, as part of the bank’s refreshed governance framework. These committee assignments underscore a broader push to strengthen governance, oversight, and strategic alignment as CSB Bank navigates growth and scalability under new leadership dynamics. The bank’s leadership says the changes are aimed at reinforcing board effectiveness and broadening expertise at the governance level.
