GP Petroleums Limited has tapped Rahul Arun Shetty to join its board as an Additional Director, Non-Executive Independent, a move the company says is effective from September 21, 2026 for a two-year term. The appointment underscores the company’s push to broaden governance with independent oversight as it navigates its next phase of growth.
Rahul Arun Shetty is a UK-based investment professional and entrepreneur who founded Optimus Investments in London. With more than two decades of experience in investment banking and real estate, he has previously worked with Lehman Brothers, Nomura, and Barclays, and currently serves as a Non-Executive Independent Director for Vedanta Power. He holds a degree in Computer Engineering and is an alumnus of Duke University, bringing a mix of international capital markets and real asset expertise to the board.
Alongside his appointment, the company’s board has reconstituted its committees, with Shetty named as a member of the Audit Committee and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee. The move signals GP Petroleums’ intent to strengthen governance structures and leverage cross-border investment know-how as part of its strategic agenda.
