Tata Capital names Mandar Joshi as Head – Treasury as Kiran Joshi retires

Tata Capital Limited has announced a leadership handover in its treasury function, with a veteran insider stepping into the role of Head – Treasury as the company plans a smooth transition. Kiran Joshi, who has led the treasury desk as Senior Management Personnel, will superannuate from the close of business on September 30, 2026. The board, on the recommendation of its Nomination and Remuneration Committee, has approved the appointment of Mandar Joshi to succeed him, with effect from October 1, 2026.

Mandar Joshi brings more than two decades of leadership experience in treasury and corporate strategy within the financial services sector. Currently the Executive Vice President – Treasury at Tata Capital, he has been with the company since 2007 and has built a track record in shaping liability strategy, fundraising across domestic and international markets, and managing key institutional relationships. His prior stint includes time with Tata Motors Limited, underscoring a career rooted in the Tata ecosystem.

Educated with a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Finance and Strategy) from IIM Calcutta and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Mandar Joshi is noted for leadership programs at prestigious institutions, including a Fulbright Scholar designation in Leadership and Innovation from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as programs from Harvard Business School and ISB.

The internal transition signals Tata Capital’s emphasis on continuity and talent development within its senior management, particularly in the core area of treasury where funding, liquidity management, and investor relations are central to the bank’s growth plans. As Mandar Joshi steps into the Head – Treasury role, stakeholders will be watching to see how the company sustains its financing strategy and relationship-building across markets.
