Amit Kumar Named Head of Branch Banking at Fino Payments Bank

Fino Payments Bank has appointed Amit Kumar as Head – Branch Banking, effective September 4, 2026. The move signals the bank’s intent to sharpen its branch-led growth while leveraging digital transformation to improve customer acquisition and channel efficiency.

Amit Kumar brings more than 23 years of experience across major lenders, including Jana SFB, Bandhan Bank, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank and LIC of India. He has led branch banking at regional and zonal levels, managing a network of more than 130 branches and over 1,200 employees. His track record highlights a focus on digital initiatives that lower acquisition costs, improve channel efficiency and strengthen risk controls.

The appointment, approved by the bank’s Board of Directors on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, is expected to bolster Fino’s strategy to deepen its footprint and translate branch presence into enhanced customer experiences. Kumar’s regional leadership across East, West and Central regions positions him to drive expansion and performance across the network.
