In a move aimed at sharpening its focus on the vast MSME segment, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank has named Vikas Agrawal as Business Head – MSME, with effect from September 1, 2026. The appointment signals the bank’s intent to harness seasoned leadership in product development, credit discipline, and distribution to deepen its reach among small businesses across its footprint.
Vikas Agrawal brings more than 25 years of banking experience to the role. A Chartered Accountant by training, he has built a career spanning MSME, Business Banking, Retail Banking, Credit, Product and Distribution. His journey in banking started with Bank of Rajasthan and UTI Bank, and he spent over two decades in leadership roles at ICICI Bank. There, he led the MSME Product portfolio at a national level, introducing new product lines and simplifying credit processes to accelerate decision-making, while also steering the Gold Loan Product nationally and implementing a technology-enabled workflow that is now used by thousands of ICICI Bank branches.
The appointment aligns with Ujjivan SFB’s strategy to scale its MSME franchise through stronger product innovation, faster processing, and expanded reach. With Agrawal at the helm of MSME, the bank is likely to lean on his track record in building high-performing teams and delivering disciplined growth in a key segment that remains a core engine for small-business lending and financial inclusion.
