Adani Power Names Puneet Bansal to Company Secretary and Compliance Officer Post, Replacing retiring Deepak Pandya

Adani Power Limited has announced a leadership transition in its corporate governance office, confirming that Deepak S Pandya will superannuate as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at the close of business on March 31, 2026. The board, on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, also announced that Puneet Bansal will assume the roles of Company Secretary and Compliance Officer with effect from April 1, 2026. The move signals a deliberate handover of responsibilities within the company’s key managerial cadre as it boxes off the succession for the role that underpins regulatory compliance and governance oversight.

Puneet Bansal steps into the role with more than three decades of governance, legal and secretarial experience. The company notes he joined the Adani Group in 2021 as Group Head – Governance & Secretarial, where he has been overseeing governance functions across a diverse portfolio of listed and unlisted entities within the conglomerate. His background spans corporate governance, organizational restructuring, M&A and risk management, with a stated passion for ESG practices.

Industry observers will be watching how this internal transition maintains continuity in Adani Power’s governance framework, a function that touches everything from regulatory compliance to enterprise risk management. By elevating a long-time Adani Group veteran to the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer post, the company reinforces its emphasis on robust internal controls and governance culture as it continues to navigate a complex operating environment.

The change underscores a broader pattern of leadership continuity within the Adani ecosystem, where experienced professionals are rotated through senior roles to sustain governance standards across a sprawling, diversified business group.
