Hindustan Composites completes slump sale, ushers in leadership realignment

Hindustan Composites Limited is charting a new course after completing the slump sale of its Friction Business Undertaking to Rane (Madras) Limited, with the transfer taking effect on 20 August 2026. The move marks a decisive shift in the company’s footprint as ownership and leadership realign with the new structure post-sale, signaling a pivot in its operating priorities going forward.

In another strand of the reshuffle, four Senior Management Personnel will move to RML: Nakuleshwar Chatterjee, Vimal Kiritkumar Desai, G. M. Indapawar, and T. N. Venkatramani, transferring with responsibility across Sales, Purchase, Works, and R&D, respectively. Their transition underscores the operational integration that accompanies the sale and highlights RML’s uptake of critical domain leadership as the friction business exits Hindustan Composites’ portfolio.

Concurrently, Pawan Kumar Choudhary has resigned from the posts of Managing Director and Key Managerial Personnel to facilitate the transfer to RML, while continuing to serve as a Non-Executive Director of Hindustan Composites. His exit from the executive suite signals a clear step in the company’s leadership realignment, even as he remains on the board to guide governance during this transition. Collectively, the changes reflect Hindustan Composites’ strategic recalibration as it closes one chapter and embraces a new operating framework with its reduced structure.
