Greenlam Industries re-appoints Yogesh Kapur as Independent Director for second five-year term

Greenlam Industries Limited has re-appointed Yogesh Kapur as an Independent Director for a second five-year term, to commence from the conclusion of the 13th Annual General Meeting held on July 29, 2026. The decision comes on the back of a recommendation from the Nomination, Remuneration & Compensation Committee and the Board.

Kapur is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with more than 43 years in the financial services sector. He began his career in 1983 with Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (HDFC), moved to investment banking with HSBC in 1991, and later joined Enam Securities Pvt. Ltd., a leading investment banking and brokerage house. Following Axis Bank’s acquisition of Enam’s investment banking business in 2012, he transitioned to Axis Capital Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Axis Bank, and subsequently served as Head – Strategic Relationship Group – Wholesale Banking for North India. After his superannuation in 2017, he rejoined Axis Capital Ltd on a contract as Managing Director – Special Coverage, a contract that ended in November 2022.

During his career, Kapur has worked with corporates preparing for public listings and has advised on strategic initiatives, reorganisations, and corporate restructurings. He has also been closely involved with DIPAM on listing and divestment processes in line with government directives. He is currently on the boards of several companies, including ASK Automotive Ltd, Relaxo Footwear Ltd, Rico Auto Industries Ltd., Polyplex Corporation Ltd., and Safex Chemicals Ltd. (including its UK subsidiary Briar Chemicals Ltd.).

For Greenlam investors and stakeholders, the re-appointment signals continuity at the boardroom level and a steady hand in governance as the company navigates growth opportunities. Kapur’s breadth of experience in investment banking, listed-company advisory, and public-market dynamics is likely to contribute to robust oversight, risk management, and strategic guidance for Greenlam’s next phase.
