In a move to sharpen its financial leadership, V-Mart Retail Limited has appointed Suraj Rathor as Head of Finance, a senior-management post effective July 24, 2026. The appointment, approved by the board on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, signals the retailer’s intent to deepen financial governance as it navigates a phase of growth. Rathor’s elevation to Head of Finance also places him in the Senior Management cadre, underscoring the strategic importance of finance leadership in the company’s expansion roadmap.
Rathor arrives at this level with more than 15 years of experience across retail, food and beverage, and fast-moving consumer goods sectors. He joined V-Mart in 2023 as Head of FP&A (financial planning and analysis), where he has steered controllership, strategic planning, analytics, financial reporting, and investor relations. Prior to joining V-Mart, he held business controllership roles at Devyani International Limited—a tenure that included pivotal work around its IPO—after an eight-year stint with KPMG. He holds a B.Com from Delhi University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
The appointment broadens the senior-management team at V-Mart as the company continues to scale its operations and optimize capital deployment. Rathor’s mandate will center on strengthening financial planning, reporting discipline, and investor communications, while sustaining the company’s focus on efficiency and sustainable growth. With a first-quarter 2026 performance reported to the board and reviewed by auditors, the leadership change aligns with V-Mart’s broader strategy to balance rapid growth with robust financial governance.
