GP Petroleums Strengthens Governance With Two New Directors and Senior Management Appointment

GP Petroleums Limited has unveiled a governance refresh, naming Harshavardhan Sinha as an Additional Non-Executive Director and Sandra Martyres as an Independent Director, both effective from July 24, 2026, subject to the approval of the Members at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. The appointments mark a notable broadening of the company’s board composition, bringing in non-executive oversight and an independent voice to the board as it sets course for its near-term strategy.

In a broader leadership update, the board also approved the appointment of Ajay Navaratne as Senior Management Personnel, holding the role of Vice President Rubber Process Oil, with effect from July 24, 2026. Navaratne arrives with a long and diverse track record in the rubber, petrochemicals and specialty oils arena, where he has driven business development, strategic planning and international growth across multiple industry segments. His appointment follows the board’s endorsement on the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

The company further announced the convening of its 43rd Annual General Meeting for August 26, 2026 to be held via video conferencing or other audio-visual means, with August 19, 2026 fixed as the record date for deciding entitlement to the final dividend for the year ended March 31, 2026, subject to member approval. The board also indicated a re-constitution of its committees as per the accompanying disclosures, signaling a refreshed governance framework intended to bolster oversight and strategic execution across the organization.
