Vishal Mega Mart Limited is reshaping its executive leadership in the legal and compliance functions. Kuldeep Sharma, who served as Vice President – Legal & Compliance and was designated as Senior Management Personnel, tendered his resignation citing personal reasons, and his duties were relinquished effective March 11, 2026.
Sambit Swain, who has been serving as General Counsel – Legal & Compliance of the company, will oversee the legal and compliance functions going forward. Swain brings over 16 years of experience across corporate law, litigation, regulatory matters, data privacy, and strategic advisory. He most recently served as Director (Legal) at Coca-Cola India, with earlier stints at Reckitt Benckiser India, McKinsey & Company, HDFC Ltd., and S. N. Gupta & Co. He holds an LL.M. from Jindal Global Law School and an LL.B. from Amity Law School (Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University).
