HCL Technologies appoints Jacob Christian Dahl as Independent Director

HCL Technologies Limited has appointed Jacob Christian Dahl as an Independent Director on the Board, effective July 13, 2026, for a term of five consecutive years until July 12, 2031. The appointment, made by the Board and recommended by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, will require shareholders’ approval at the ensuing Annual General Meeting. Dahl has also been co-opted as a member of HCLTech’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee with effect from July 31, 2026, underscoring the company’s emphasis on robust governance as it accelerates its AI-led growth trajectory.

Dahl, 62, brings nearly four decades of experience spanning international banking, strategy, risk management and governance. He currently serves as an Independent Director of Danske Bank, a leading Nordic banking group, and chairs its Remuneration Committee while serving on the Risk & Compliance Committee. His prior career includes over 25 years at McKinsey & Company as a Senior Partner and a range of leadership roles across the firm’s global Financial Services practices. Dahl holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.
