Tata Chemicals elevates Rino Raj to Vice President Manufacturing (India) to oversee all Indian plants

In a move signaling Tata Chemicals’ intent to unify its manufacturing engine, Rino Raj, who has steered operations as Vice President & Site Head at Mithapur, will take on the broader remit of all Tata Chemicals plants across India. He has been re-designated as Vice President Manufacturing (India). The internal elevation underscores the company’s plan to consolidate leadership across its Indian manufacturing footprint under a single, accountable executive.

The expanded role covers the company’s entire network of plants in the country, a deliberate shift aimed at streamlining production, aligning supply chains, and sharpening accountability across sites. Raj will continue to report to senior management as part of the organization’s leadership cadre, now with a pan-India mandate to drive cross-site coordination and operational discipline.

This leadership move highlights Tata Chemicals’ focus on resilience and scale across its diversified portfolio, which spans chemicals, crop nutrition, and consumer products. With Mithapur as a long-standing hub in the company’s manufacturing story, Raj’s broadened remit positions him to spearhead cross-plant initiatives, share best practices, and accelerate efficiency gains across the Indian manufacturing network.

Overall, the decision reflects a steady hand at the helm—prioritizing internal progression and continuity as the company seeks to capitalize on opportunities in the Indian market while maintaining a tight focus on execution across its plants.
