The Board approved the appointment of Bhupinder Kumar, who serves as Director at the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG), Government of India, to represent the government on Oil India’s board. This government-nominated director appointment on the board underscores the close alignment between national energy policy and the company’s governance framework.

According to the filing, Bhupinder Kumar belongs to the Indian Administrative Service (2011 batch) and brings a background in public policy and administration. His education includes a B Tech in Electronics & Communication and an MA in Public Policy.
