Shree Renuka Sugars appoints Wilmar veteran Kwek Ju-Yang Mark as Additional Director

Shree Renuka Sugars Limited has announced a leadership move that signals a push for broader global insight at the boardroom level. The company’s Board, via a resolution circulated on 2 July 2026, approved the appointment of Kwek Ju-Yang Mark as an Additional Director on the Board, with the term set to run until the next General Meeting, to be held within three months. The move places a seasoned industry veteran in a position to contribute to Renuka’s governance and strategic discussions from a non-executive vantage point.

Kwek Ju-Yang Mark arrives at Renuka from the Wilmar Group, where he has been the Group Head of Sugar and Ethanol Energies, charged with overseeing the group’s global sugar and ethanol businesses. He joined Wilmar in 2009 to steer business development and previously led the sugar trading arm while managing Wilmar’s global portfolio of sugar and ethanol subsidiaries, joint ventures and associates. His career began at Bain & Company, and he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

The appointment reflects Renuka’s intent to bring external strategic perspective to its board as it navigates the evolving landscape of the sugar and ethanol sectors. By tapping into Wilmar’s global footprint and experience in commodities, Renuka aims to enrich its governance with cross-border insights and a broader lens on international markets. As a Non-Executive Non-Independent addition to the board, Mark’s presence is positioned to inform, challenge and augment the company’s leadership team as it pursues growth opportunities across its core businesses.
