Newgen Software elevates Tarun Nandwani to CEO, appoints Pramod Kumar as CGO and designates Varadarajan as Vice Chairman

Newgen Software Technologies Limited has announced a leadership refresh, naming Tarun Nandwani as Chief Executive Officer and Key Managerial Personnel for an 18-month term from 1 August 2026 to 31 January 2028. The board also approved the appointment of Pramod Kumar as Chief Growth Officer and Key Managerial Personnel, and designated T. S. Varadarajan as Vice Chairman, with immediate effect.

Tarun Nandwani, a 33-year veteran of Newgen, has been instrumental in shaping the company’s platform strategy, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding its global footprint. In his prior role as Chief Operating Officer, he led Newgen through a period of substantial growth, broadening its product portfolios and deepening market presence across industries and geographies.

Pramod Kumar brings 27 years of experience at Newgen, spanning product management, R&D, strategy, marketing, and regional operations. He has been serving as Vice President–Sales with the company’s Singapore subsidiary and has now been appointed Chief Growth Officer. He oversaw rapid growth in the APAC region, lifting regional revenues from about ₹73 crore to ₹237 crore over five years (close to 27% CAGR) and helped build a sizable government business there. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, and an MBA from the International Management Institute, New Delhi.

T. S. Varadarajan co-founded Newgen in 1992 and brings more than five decades of software design and development experience. The board has designated him as Vice Chairman with immediate effect, while he continues to serve as Whole-time Director. In this expanded capacity, Varadarajan will carry duties and responsibilities as entrusted by the board.
