Deepak Fertilisers reshuffles HR leadership as Romy Sahay exits; Naresh Pinisetti steps in on interim basis

Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited has announced a leadership reshuffle in its senior management, with Romy Sahay stepping down from the post of President – Human Resources to pursue opportunities outside the company. He has been relieved from service with effect from 19 April 2026. The board has begun a transition process as it seeks a permanent successor to helm HR.

In the interim, Naresh Pinisetti, who currently serves as President – Corporate Governance, has been entrusted with leading and managing the HR function on an interim basis, effective 20 April 2026, until a new incumbent is appointed. Pinisetti brings decades of experience in people management and corporate governance, and he previously served as President – Human Resources for the company. He has over 30 years of experience in HR and IR, with earlier stints at Vestas as Director and Regional Head HR for Asia Pacific and at the Bayer Group in India as General Manager – HR. His background also includes leadership roles and exposure to international best practices in people management, along with academic credentials in HR, law and sociology. The company notes Pinisetti’s track record as a coach and governance professional, underscoring a continuity plan as it accelerates its search for a permanent HR chief.

Romy Sahay’s departure concludes a tenure that the company acknowledges, while the leadership team relies on Pinisetti’s interim stewardship to maintain momentum on talent development and employee relations as it escorts a permanent appointment. The move underlines the importance of HR leadership in driving strategic priorities and culture at Deepak Fertilisers as the company navigates growth and organizational evolution in a dynamic market.
