LIC elevates Mamta Meena to Additional Director, Zonal Training Centre, Bhopal

Life Insurance Corporation of India has announced a leadership move at the senior-most end of its internal hierarchy, elevating Mamta Meena to Additional Director at the Zonal Training Centre in Bhopal. The shift, disclosed to the stock exchanges, marks another step in LIC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its senior management cadre from within as the insurer steers its vast training and people-development machinery.

Mamta Meena’s career with LIC spans more than three decades. She joined the corporation in 1992 as an Assistant Administrative Officer and has since overseen a wide range of portfolios, including Personnel & Industrial Relations, Vigilance, Customer Relationship Management, Claims, Pension and Group Schemes. Her experience also extends to training, having served as a faculty member at the Sales Training Centre, and to vigilance in the Northern Zone. Immediately before taking charge in Bhopal, she was the Regional Manager for Personnel & Industrial Relations in the North Central Zone, Kanpur.

The designation of Additional Director at the Zonal Training Centre underscores LIC’s emphasis on people-centric leadership and substantial in-house capability development. With the Training Centre playing a pivotal role in shaping the insurer’s human capital across zones, Meena’s broad operational exposure and long tenure at LIC position her to influence how the organization trains, equips and aligns its workforce for the road ahead.

As LIC continues to navigate a landscape of evolving customer needs and regulatory expectations, leadership moves like this highlight the institution’s intent to cultivate experienced leaders from within the ranks—leaders who bring a granular understanding of LIC’s processes, culture and long-term strategic objectives.
